Meditating to Forgive

During challenging situations, we can fall into a pattern of ruminating on events that have already come to a close. We may feel hurt, offended, or bothered by the actions or words of someone else. Long after that person has moved on, we may find ourselves replaying the event over and over, growing increasingly upset by it. Mindfully forgiving that person helps us reach the point of closure and acceptance, freeing our mind to enjoy greater happiness and ease.

Try this 10-minute meditation to practice forgiving yourself and others. With practice over time, you will find yourself feeling freed of the burden that comes with harboring resentment.
